Amrahia is located in the Ga East Municipal District of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

Farming is the predominant industry here, and 70% of the people living in the rural areas depend on farming for their income. Most of the farming is done on a smaller scale, with the major crops being maize, cassava, okro, pepper, tomatoes, and garden eggs.

The poverty rate in Amrahia is extremely high, and people have to travel great distances to receive medical treatment.

The hazardous water supplies, healthcare facilities, and transportation system mean that curable diseases such as malaria, diarrhea and respiratory infections can have deadly consequences.
